The Program

High School Internship

The Pathway to Law

Cold Mountain Foundation’s mission is to provide a Law Pathway for underserved high school students interested in becoming a lawyer or serving in the legal profession. We provide an immersive experience within a law firm or legal organization where students are partnered with a mentor and support.

Our program is a two-week-long, paid internship for high school students who are at least 16 years. Students are required to complete an application, submit references and write an essay about their interest in the program. Students are placed within a law firm and matched with lawyers who agree to mentor the students throughout the program. Additional program highlights are included below.

Our program is highly structured and easily adapted to each law firm or organization. Our Program Coordinators oversee the program and remain on-site with students to facilitate the program and address any needs. While our focus is currently on the legal industry, we are actively seeking partnerships with other professional services organizations such as Accounting, Healthcare and Hospitality among others.
